📝 JNVST (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test) Exam – Instructions for Students

1️⃣ Eligibility & Application Information

Students studying in Class 5 in a recognized school are eligible to apply for admission to Class 6.
The application is submitted online, within the timeframe specified by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
Required documents typically include:
1. Recent passport-size photograph
2. Proof of residency
3. School study certificate (Class 5)
4. Other supporting documents as required by the notification

2️⃣ Exam Pattern & Duration

The exam is objective type (MCQ)
For Class 6 entry:
1. Section 1: Mental Ability Test (MAT)
2. Section 2: Arithmetic Test
3. Section 3: Language Test
Example breakdown (Class 6) :
1. ~40 questions in MAT
2. ~20 questions in Arithmetic
3. ~20 questions in Language
4. Total: ~80 questions, ~100 marks, duration ~2 hours (120 minutes)
Medium of exam: Usually offered in various languages including English.

3️⃣ Selection & Admission Process

Selection is based on the performance in the entrance exam.
Reserved seats (for rural candidates, SC/ST, etc.) are offered as per policy.
After selection, students must complete further admission formalities as specified.
